Ilford Multigrade FB Warmtone is a high-quality black and white paper with variable contrast and warm image tone. The emulsion is coated onto a double-weight fiber base with a basis weight of 255 g/m². The warm image tone characteristic of this paper and makes it ideal for artistic photographs and portraits. Unlike some other papers, which get their warmtone form a “real” warmtone emulsion, this paper achieves its warmtone with additional dyes in the emulsion. This special feature makes the paper a little more sensitive. Ilford Multigrade FB Warmtone yields very good results with almost all toning and chemical reduction techniques. The lith printing process tends to cause the paper to behave like a cold tone paper.

Multigrade FB Warmtone will deliver 7 full grades of contrast from grade 00 to grade 5. The contrast can be purposefully controlled using color filters during exposure. It is available in most common sheet sizes as well as role format with the following surfaces; 1K (glossy) and 24K (semi-matte).
