Film development – complete control over the development of your negatives

We understand how you can be attracted to the aura of "analogue film" and want to photograph analogue instead of digital. We also understand if you prefer to send the exposed films to a professional laboratory to be developed. But we also understand if you want to experience more of the "analogue photography" process and do your own film development!  At first glance the hurdles to developing your own film seem to be large, but it only needs a little equipment and some chemicals to transform an exposed film into negatives.

You only need a couple of tools and a little equipment. At the start a good value negative laboratory set is all you need. This contains all the laboratory equipment you need for the development of your film, and includes at least one film development container with matching film spiral, a measuring cup, chemical bottles with funnel to store the working solutions, film clips for drying, a film wiper and a tin thermometer. For photographers who use a lot of film we recommend investing in a higher volume film development container. Up to 8 x 35 mm films can be developed at the same time with the Paterson Multi Reel 8 developing tank.

Development tanks and spirals – find your favorite system. We stock film development containers by Paterson, AP and Kaiser.

Film wipers – faster drying of your freshly developed film, and avoids the danger of water spots on the negative.

Film clips – hang up wet films securely, and prevent warping while drying thanks to the counterweight.

Film washing hose – save water and time with a fast wash after the development.

Negative laboratory sets – good value entry to film development.

Changing bag – protect your film from light as you wind it onto the film spiral and load it into the development tank, without needing a darkroom.
