Fotospeed FineArt inkjet papers have received awards for their excellent paper and image quality. All papers are 100 percent acid-free and are ideal for Giclée printing*. Fotospeed Fine Art papers can be used with both dye-based inks and pigment inks**. It is not only the ink that makes the difference between a good print and a bad one, that’s why it is extremely important to use high-quality paper which is also designed for printing. The best inks cannot realize their full potential on poor-quality paper, even if the manufacturers say otherwise, and good paper only helps to a certain extent when using poor ink. With Fotospeed Inkjet papers you can at least be safe in the knowledge that you have met all the requirements of a high-quality paper.
If you are unsure what kind of paper to use to best suit your needs, why not try out our Fotospeed Fine Art test pack? The Fotospeed Fine Art paper Glossy test pack in DIN A4 format contains the following papers:
• 3 x Platinum Baryta, 300 g
• 3 x Platinum Gloss, 290 g
• 3 x Platinum Gloss, WT 290 g
• 3 x Platinum Luster, 270 g
* Giclée printing is the printing of large-format, artistic digital images with an inkjet printer.
** Dye-based ink is simply water soluble printing ink. With the dye dissolved in a liquid it is easier for the paper to absorb the pigment. The disadvantage is that the ink is not water resistant, which means that even the slightest contact with water causes the ink to run. As a result, pigment ink is becoming more and more popular, because it is much less vulnerable. Some manufacturers of pigment ink even guarantee lightfastness of up to one hundred years.
